Material Magic | Children 6-7yrs | 9.30am Session
In the Material Magic workshop children will turn a cotton bag into a colourful piece of artwork and depending on the age group, children will also hand colour their own singlet or socks. All dyes used are non-toxic and environmentally friendly.

African Art & Drawing People for Primary Educators

The workshop will focus on teaching students how to draw people and make artworks with people in them. Participants will get hands on use of the following art materials; drawing pencils (2B, 4B and 6B), oil pastels and wash, watercolour pencils and colour pencils to draw faces, make an oil pastel and wash portrait and colour pencil funny faces. Instruction will be in the form of step by step demonstration. You will also look at how to do artworks with the figure in action. Various extension ideas will be suggested. In addition the workshop will focus on ideas for doing African art such as easy masks, Masai necklaces and a village picture.
